  1. Cleanup varied TOC visual styles (links on bullet topic name vs in description–e.g. compare landing pages for Resources & Learning). make UI consistent.
  2. Would be nice to have the permalink display on the WP Pages list (along with ID). plugin for that?.
  3. Need more than just 5 levels of priority to order FAQs in the display list. modify plugin? switch to slider?
  4. For both the FAQ and slider notes, could there be a button to EXPAND ALL on the page? is there a plugin for that?
  5. [very minor] On About page: hyperlink for Dustin? any plugins you want to call out? i’ll fix dustin – do we need technical stuff?
  6. Add system architecture picture to Welcome page. Need to make better one.
  7. On Downloads, use just Windows, not XP. Get better icons.
  8. Establish separate Twitter account for NLTK ? (perhaps with feedburner to automatically generate a tweet for each blog post) To do.
  9. Add bibliography (list of books, websites, articles, etc.) to miscellaneous resources. To do.
  10. Add “Printer-friendly format” button & CSS/PDF versions of key pages to Breadcrumbs at right margin. Icon in upper right of page, mod template later.
  11. Write content for Overview page, to include: to do rough version done
    • The basic explanation of the toolkit goes here, answering:
      • What
      • Why
      • How
    • And then a nice picture illustrating the overall system architecture, how the pieces fit together and communicate, and a narrative explanation of it all.
    • Should also be a PDF version of that, as a white paper, e.g.
  12. Add tag browser (cloud?) to sidebar. Find widget and mod template.
  13. Add tags to all pages and posts; Later – phase 2, perhaps?

  1. Change all internal page links to relative pathnames. done.
  2. Adjust blog post displays for comments, etc. Lose “Help us improve this Wiki?” footer? Done – any other formatting? Looks good for now. CAPTCHA necessary? helps keep spambots away. can be turned off in plug-in panel though
  3. Can we teach the slider plugin to use some template styles (like <h*> for consistency)? done.
  4. Why does the template/WP eat <br> tags and not do anything with them?? I want vertical spacers! Sorry! Use <code><br /></code>
  5. Add automatic space after slider title in output to separate title from ». done.
  6. Write FAQ answers. done.
  7. Banish PixoPoint from the planet!. or rescue .ad from the cracker barrel. Sorry!
  8. Table at Analog Sensors (Other) needs to be fixed. done.
  9. Long lines possible in dropdown menu items ? LIKELY TO BE PAINFUL, I’LL LOOK INTO IT – Will try renaming all first. looks good with shorter names
  10. Add subscribe to comments on this blog post? we decided against this.
  11. Add widget to sidebar for quick link to latest blog post. done.

  13. Attempting to download a non-existent file (see version 2 releases on Downloads page, e.g.) needs an error page instead of blank blog articles page. To fix. not so easy to fix, putting off to phase 2

  15. Can we teach the FAQ plugin to use the link highlight color for the questions (as well as underline)? done.
  16. Add separator to Widgets menu after Overview ? investigate. not going to do.

  18. On Downloads, make Contents and Notes into drop downs. Don’t want to do this using DDET since can’t apply HTML tags (e.g. h3) to the name. Something to think about in the search for a replacement… Done – see Notes example
  19. Develop contact form instead of open email address ? Done.
  20. Allow certain pages (e.g., ‘site dev issues’) to be suppressed from sitemap — add custom field for plugin to check? Done – use exclude parameter of shortcode. See plugin page for more info
  21. Choose forum s/w and customize. Link to Google group for now. Done
  22. Why is the first DDET shown differently? Investigate different plugin. Done – use +/-» shortcode
  23. Make and deploy some standard “Coming soon” banner for pages not yet implemented. Done.
  24. Use DDET for step-by-step tutorials, like “Getting Started?” Yes, but not until new plugin is decided.
  25. Need download of earlier version 3.x release packages ? inside DDET? Only going forward. Put link inside DDET.
  26. Should sitemap link appear anywhere other than footer? Nope, ok as is.
  27. Use “NETLab Toolkit” in all copy for now, right? Adopt “NLTK” as abbreviation? OK for now, revisit for phase 2
  28. Need to understand how to do vertical spacing for page text/images. [see next item] Wait for WP 3 to revisit
  29. Need better content page layout workflow – tables, CSS, external editor (?), etc. Keep it simple, use CSS if necessary
